Restore the Twisted World

In Chrono Ark, players are introduced to a world once covered by the mysterious Black Fog. Humanity had no choice but to evacuate to The Ark and to reclaim their world, they needed to collect the Time Shades and restore the flow of time. The player works with Lucy, who remembers nothing except for a message to restore the Clock Tower, setting up the game's premise.

As a party-focused card game, you recruit from a pool of characters, each with a unique design and connection to Lucy and the storyline. There are a variety of skills and perks that you can use. They appear in card format, adding an element of luck to the game. Combine these gameplay aspects with the varied art style during exploration, combat, and cutscenes and you have an engaging anime-style RPG.

A main challenge in the game is its roguelike nature. It feels like an RPG that you have to play from the very start either after you die or finish a run. Very little content carries over, most of them being the players’ knowledge of the game and the world. The playthrough lengths vary depending on the choices you make, with each run unveiling more of the world.
